The poor maintenance of Hong Kong's ambulance fleet has caused broke down again in midst of delivering critically ill patients to hospital. A local coroner finally burst in anger and urge the government for better maintenance, as well as more training for ambluance drivers on the vehicles' capabilities. As indicated by an expert, a human brain could die of oxygen deficiency for three minutes and the ambulance breakdowns has caused an average delay of 10 minutes.
I like what coroner Michael Chan said, the duties carried out by ambulances were a "matter of life or death.", let's cross our fingers and hope our government will take this seriously.
